WHERE I STAND OUT
Marywood University's Marketing department decided to provide the business students of the BUS-422 HR Management class with the opportunity to showcase our business marketing and creative event organization skills.
Project Objective: To pitch an elaborate concept to the Marketing Department for a potential annual fall event to leverage pop-culture themes relevant to college students and engage with our community. The Marketing department will choose the team with the best concept and adapt it into an actual, annually recurring fall tradition at Marywood University.
My Team's "Pacer Puff" Fall Festival Marketing Pitch:
-
My team came up with the concept of "Pacer Puff" which would be an annual fall festival event.
-
The main event of the festival would be a Powderpuff tournament: High schools and colleges would be competing against each other for a good cause.
-
We would involve local businesses and vendors.
-
Engages people of all age groups in all kinds of scheduled fun activities.
-
Very social media oriented, we would broadcast some of the most exciting moments live on Marywood's Instagram. And we would encourage the attendee's to use the hashtag #PacerPuffPride and #PacerPuffFest when posting their pictures on social media to promote the event as it's happening.
My contributed ideas:
-
The scheduled events: Instagram/Social media pop-ups, mini-games and prizes.
-
Entertainment: live DJing, courtesy of Marywood's own Award winning student-run radio station.
-
Emphasized on the importance of social media coverage and it's presence throughout the event.
-
Helped organize the overall layout and design of the presentation.
